Welcome to the website of Southampton University Japanese Society (SUJaS).  We hope you will find some useful information for the Southampton Japanese Community. We aim to:

  • promote awareness and interest in the culture of Japan
  • provide opportunities for interacting with Japanese people 

We welcome everyone (with any nationality) who has an interest in Japan. The membership is available to members of the Staff Club, students and non-Staff Club members (i.e., family, friends of Staff Club members) within and outside the University. Our activities include regular meetings and social events for entertainment throughout the year.

'Always' Sunset on Third Street 2  (続・三丁目の夕日)

    
Synopsis:
This is a sequel to the brilliant first film, set in the shadow of the Tokyo Tower. The Olympics in Tokyo has officially been announced, and Japan is about to take its first step into a period of high economic growth. Chagawa still loves Hiromi though she has left, and he continues living with Junnosuke. Meanwhile, Norifumi, proprietor of the Suzuki Auto shop on Third Street, dreams of expanding the family business.
